Backbone Themin': WordPress Themes and Backbone.js

Backbone.js gives the browser half of a WordPress theme some structure: models for the data, views for what renders, and a router for the URL. This talk was a primer. It worked from a stock theme toward one that fetches content as JSON, renders its templates client side, and routes with a catchall pattern loose enough to cope with WordPress permalinks. The accompanying theme on GitHub is deliberately stripped down, built to be read rather than shipped, and the talk walks the same path it takes.
